Hi Garmanvsfood family. How is everyone holding up currently? The last few weeks have taken the world by surprise, we are in a global pandemic and no one is equipped on how best to address this! I have started working remotely full time and anticipate that the UK Government and other Governments across the world will be implementing lock down measures soon. The news and media outlets are overflowing with so many theories, conspiracies et al, health care systems are being stretched to the limit! It is a crazy time and I don’t know what lies at the end of the tunnel, what I do know is We HAVE to make it through the other side!

Today would have been our first Scandinavian food adventure at Texture Restaurant in Marylebone. It was meant to be a surprise treat for Neal, since there are a few Scandinavian countries on our list to visit this year. We cancelled and it got me thinking about the impact of the pandemic on hospitality and tourism industries. I mean, is this it? Will we never eat out again? Travel again, do things outside again? I can’t deal to be honest.

The small plate series is a flash back series that will feature pubs, restaurants, pop-ups, and eateries where we have had amazing food and wine. Since we are in lock down and can’t flipping do nothing, might as well reminisce right? We got time!
